Nice to meet you.

My name's Cassandra and I'm the face behind Mali Flores.

I established my business back in 2015 as a local flower delivery service. I was still working a full time job in the corporate world but my heart was set on creating floral magic. I used to venture to the markets at 5am and bring buckets of flowers to my office! I may have gotten strange looks from management...

As a self-taught florist (something I used to be embarrassed of) I knew that I was drawn to arrangements that celebrated nature, gardens and the flowers themselves. Lush, overflowing, cascading, draping, airy are all words that I use to describe my ideal floral design. Sometimes all you need is some foliage to really make impact!

A year in I resigned from the office job, re-branded my little baby and launched Mali Flores as it is today; a wedding & event floristry studio! I specialise in wedding florals with designs that speak true to the couples aesthetic. There is no box ticking or picking from a catalogue here. I want to get to know you and your wedding. Upon consultation we will talk about all the aspects of your wedding, your dress, your make up, your venue, your colour selections, linens and much more! It's important to me to get to know who you are, what you're drawn to and what you also dislike!

I want to create a bouquet that makes your heart sings so it's important to have a consultation where we can chat in person (and have a coffee or wine!)

With continuous learning and improvement being a core value of Mali Flores, I have been able to learn the skill of mixing, shaping and coordinating all types of blooms and greenery into artful displays. Trust is important here - when I have freedom to pick the season's best on market day is when the magic truely happens!

I focus on seasonal flowers and using design principles to create arrangements that are unapologetically natural and have a garden-like feel to them. My approach to design is about acknowledging and respecting the imperfectly perfect nature of flowers and paying homage to it in each arrangement. Whether it is following the natural curve of a stem to shape the arrangement or pulling a colour palette from one multi-toned bloom, each arrangement is as unique as you, the bride or groom, who gets to carry it.
